Leprechaun Art 

Leprechaun Art: This year we created our little leprechauns using pastels for the leprechaun and watercolors fo the background.

Snowmen

Snowmen: We painted snowmen with acrylic paints and used our fingers as a tool for creating snowflakes falling from the sky.

2D Time Machine 

Our Time Machines: Students created their own time machines after reading the book "Fortunately the Milk" by Neil Gaiman. Students were able to use any medium they wanted to create a time machine that went along with their narrative writing.

Starry Starry Sunflowers

Starry Starry Sunflowers: Right after learning how to use pastels, the students got yo work on demonstrating their skills. We created a pastel work of art using short strokes and making sure to demonstrate movement.

Shadow Puppets

Shadow Puppets: My students absolutely love shadow puppets. Here we were practice using our own handmade puppets to create a story about how their characters survived a natural disaster.

A Happy Memory​

A Favorite Memory: After reading "Wilfred Gordon Mcdonald Partridge" by Mem Fox, students thought about a memory that made them feel happy. They were then suppose to write a caption about what that memory was. Once done we got in a circle and talked about what we saw using the sentence frames "I think/notice/feel...because.....". The students loved being able to interpret each others art.
