Invasive species watercolor project

In this lesson, students study elements of maps as well as invasive species and how they can affect ecosystems.  The wet-on-wet watercolor techniques can show how an invasive species can change the ecology of a system.

Maps use various elements such as neatline, scale, cartouche, legend, and scale.

Students learn how to make watercolor paint blend, move and be constrained.
