Practice for Symbolic Portraits using Pastel and Sharpie on Laminate Sheets

Symbolic Portraits Video

Students were asked to select character quotes from some of the books read in class over the year.  They then selected images that were "symbolic " of the character or the quote.  Images were traces on laminate sheets and colored with pastel.  Backgrounds were created using watercolors and warm or cool colors.
