Artists Digital Portfolio
4/22/22
This year teachers from 3rd-5th grade teams at Cutten collaborated together to create a digital artist portfolio project inspired by Annette Sligh (3rd grade teacher). Her vision is that each student can begin a digital portfolio in Adobe Spark. As the year progresses the students will learn elements of art, how to use Adobe Spark, and reflect on themselves as artists. As the year goes on, they will add pictures of their work to their slideshows and narrate each art piece. By the end of the year the kids will have a digital record of themselves as artists and have used many of their creativity skills! You will soon find pictures of my class at work below.

Mission: Perspective
A 4th Grade Lesson Creation
10/17/21
This year the 4th Grade Team at Cutten school developed a new unit for students that addresses that perspectives of native American Indians in California and the Spanish missionaries who came to this state and built the missions. Students created two different artworks, each representing the perspective of either the native American Indians or the missionaries. Students also created a two voice poem as a tool to show their learning about the two groups of people. They examined how they are similar and different.

Visualizing Music 2019-2020
This year our class worked on the visualizing music lesson. The kids enjoyed learning about synesthesia, as well as listening to music while creating with oil pastels. Thank you artsintegration.net!
