Summer Institute next week!

We have an exciting four days of arts integration activities in music, dance, theater, media and visual arts planned for August 14-17.  
​Where: Humboldt County Office of Education Annex (across parking lot from HERC)
Dates: August 14-17, 2017
Day begins: 8:30 for coffee, tea, registration.  Please check in no later than 8:55 AM.
Day ends: 4:00 daily
Dress: comfortable, movement exercises daily

Participants,  please bring:

• NCAIP binder (if you have one)
• Writing tools
• Reusable coffee cup/ water bottle
• Laptop or tablet computer on Thursday (to complete online evaluation)

Collaboration/ sharing: There will be an opportunity August 16 and 17  to share arts activities you have done with students.  These might be music, dance, theater, visual or computer based arts.  Think about what you might offer during this time.  You do not need to bring anything Monday, but you might bring examples, handouts, instructions, etc.on Wednesday after this opportunity has been fully explained.  Please think about this chance to share and what items you might want to bring later in the week.
Units: Participating teachers are eligible for units from HSU after completion of the NCAIP activities throughout the year.  More information on this will be available during our monthly meetings next year or during the summer institute.
