- What is the commitment agreement for participating?
- What are artful thinking routines?
- Learning 1-3 artful thinking routines.
- What does a longer arts integration project look like? What are the goals for the arts and the core?
- Integration with theater arts- a project. Teachers learn pantomime/ tableau alongside retelling a folktale.
Spring training
In May teachers have another 6 hour training. This training usually focuses on the visual art integration.

- Refresher on Arts Integration
- Visual art skill building
- Core content concept
- Studio time: integrating the art and core content
- Create, perform, revise
- Final performance/ art display/ critique
- Past projects have included printmaking and shadow puppets.
Summer training
The summer training is 4 full days in August. Each year is specifically designed for the grade band and needs of the teachers.
The summer training is 4 full days in August. Each year is specifically designed for the grade band and needs of the teachers.
- Grades 6-8 experienced some theater, visual and music units as well as routines that can be used regularly.
- Grades 3-5 each learned a theater and visual art unit to use in their grade level.
- Grades K-2 are tentatively planning on learning to play ukulele for their class and learning two grade level units.

- Attend a meeting where additional professional development is provided, teachers share with each other teaching practices and units they've developed.
- Submit a monthly reflection on their teaching practice as shown in the images below. Project coordinators read and respond to every reflection submitted.
